More than 600,000 cars have been damaged in this year's hurricane season.
At least 215,000 of them are tied to Hurricane Irma, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB).
And those are just the cars that people turned into their insurance companies.
Industry experts believe that 60 percent of the cars that were flooded in the hurricane were not insured — and those are the cars they're worried about because they could end up in the used car market, for sale, without buyers ever knowing their history.
